Welcome to Penelope's Musings

My name is Lynette and I have loved to write ever since I wrote a short story about a mermaid when I was about 8.  I am the happy shopkeeper of Penelope's Hope Chest, a shop about Vintage Inspiration, in Portland Oregon.  I also am the long-time promoter of Brookhaven Vintage Marketplace, an antiques, Artisan Goods & Home Decor show in Beaverton, Oregon.  I like writing about both these enterprises, as well as my long love affair with collecting and creating art with fabric and paper ephemera.  I also write about travelling and my collection of interesting quotes that resound with me.  If you visit my very first post, you will meet Penelope, my inspiration.
